Gabriela & Music

Daughter of an English musician from London and an academic Brazilian mother, Gabriela Smith was raised between London and Brazil with many artistic influences from both cultures.
Gabriela’s music career came as an extension to her acting career and formation at the prestige ‘Sylvia Young Theatre School’ in London. Musically, she launched after her first Reggae band in Brazil and her roles in musicals like 'Tonight We Improvise’ from Pirandello, and West End’s classic Oliver Twist.
She continues to actively work with acting and her latest work can be found on Amazon, Roku, Apple TV, Allblk and more, in the movie ‘Turnover’ and series ‘Double Cross’. Other productions are in the works and will be available soon.
In early 2012, she moved to Madrid to start her international tour and dedicated most of her time during that year to music production. There she started a strong collaboration with the Spanish Wagon Cookin Producers & DJ’s. Since their first track together, Playground, they haven’t stopped. She concentrated on producing, DJing and singing house music from disco, funk and jazz to deep house.
Together they produced and traveled on tour to Madrid and several cities like Spain, London, Saint Petersburg (Russia), Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam (ADE Festival) among other European cities, such as Lanzarote (Canary Islands) and to South America.
She performed and collaborated in projects with producers like Wagon Cookin (Madrid/Spain) Kyodai (Berlin/USA), Simon Bryant (UK), Scott Binder (USA/Berlin), Romaine Gowe (USA), among others. She has released and has upcoming releases on labels such as Muak Music (London), Audio Tonic Records (Dubai), Tokyo Dawn Records (Munich), Golden Needle Records (USA/Berlin) and Nu Faze Records (USA). Recently, Gabriela’s track “Can You Hear The Beat” (lyrics and melody by her), remixed by Spiritchaser, hit Number 1 on Deep House Traxsource Chart for 18 weeks.
Throughout Europe, Brazil and now USA Gabriela has been exposed and absorbed so many of these influences into her sets that will leave you in the edge of your seat (or dancefloor). From exclusive deep house vibes in Europe to Brazilian influenced tunes to make any night unforgettable.
